Will Purvis is President of Liberty Senior Living, a developer and operator of assisted living, independent living, active adult, as well as rental continuing care retirement communities. Since joining Liberty in 2010, the company has grown from two senior living communities to twelve with several more currently under construction. Liberty’s goal is to deliver the best product and operations in the markets served. Liberty has won national awards for continuing care retirement community design as well has fitness and wellness operations. In addition, Mr. Purvis is Chief Development Officer for Liberty Healthcare Management which has a portfolio of thirty skilled nursing facilities and twenty-six homecare and hospice offices. Liberty is a family owned and operated group of companies founded in 1875. Prior to Liberty, Mr. Purvis worked with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, a subsidiary of BB& T. Mr. Purvis received a B.S. in Business Management from North Carolina State University and a MBA from Wake Forest University. Mr. Purvis serves on the Boards of the American Senior Housing Association and New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation. Mr. Purvis serves on the Senior Housing Product Council of Urban Land Institute and the Finance Committee of the Coastal Land Trust. Mr. Purvis lives in Wilmington, North Carolina with his wife Jenny, and three children.

Matt Bork is a Certified Public Accountant leading the financial operations of Liberty Senior Living as the Vice President of Finance. Matt has been with Liberty for over thirteen years where he is involved with raising debt and equity, financial forecasting, capital allocation, asset management, acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and new business development. He joined Liberty in 2007 after graduating from UNC-Wilmington with a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Accounting as well as a Masters of Business Administration. He currently serves on the Payment for Services Committee for the North Carolina Healthcare Facilities Association as well as the Finance Committee for the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. Matt lives in Wilmington with his wife Katie and five daughters.

With over twenty-five years of experience in the multifamily industry, Mrs. Chestnut has established herself as a leader in the industry through a solid track record of success and the positive contributions she has made to peers, team members, managers, and owners alike. Over the course of her first ten years with The Beach Company and Cornerstone, she stabilized four brand new Class A+ communities well ahead of budget. She was quickly promoted to Senior Regional Property Manager in 2010 overseeing assets in the Carolinas and initially specialized in student and military. During her thirteen-year tenure with Greystar, Mrs. Chestnut oversaw a portfolio of many assets located in Charleston, Bluffton, Hilton Head, SC, Augusta, Ga and Wilmington, NC. Prior to joining Liberty Senior Living, as the Regional Director of Active Adult, Mrs. Chestnut worked with the leadership team with Greystar establishing the Overture brand in the Charleston, SC market. In addition to these contributions, Mrs. Chestnut has served on various board positions for local and state apartment associations. Christy’s accomplishments include 2015 Regional Manager of the Year with Greystar and 2016 Regional Manager of the Year Charleston Apartment Association.

Jay joined Liberty in 2021 to manage development and capitalization of new Active/Independent Seniors communities. However, he began working closely with Liberty senior leadership in 2016 as a founding principal of Wells Fargo Bank’s Seniors Housing Finance group. Originally from Columbus, Mississippi, Jay has since lived in eight states, financing commercial real estate projects in 20 states over his previous 20 year banking career. Immediately prior to joining Liberty, Jay served as Lifestyle Division President with Capstone Communities. While at Capstone, Jay co-developed Inspire Royal Park in Matthews, NC - the first Active Adult community in which Liberty has ownership interest. Jay earned MBA and Masters in International Management degrees from Thunderbird School of Global Management and undergraduate degrees in Literature and Journalism from the University of Mississippi.

The construction aspect of Liberty Senior Living is led by Craig Spivey, Project Manager. Craig joined the Liberty team in 2016 bringing an extensive background of construction types and roles. Craig’s construction knowledge is deep rooted beginning as a laborer on a 27 million dollar bridge project and working his way to managing multimillion dollar Construction Manager at Risk projects for NC State Construction as well as private clients. For the last 9 years, Craig has been solely focused on the complete continuum of care within the senior living market. Having direct communication with operations has allowed for an enhanced knowledge of code and building function. Having this knowledge is invaluable when working with the design team through development of the construction documents and all the way through project completion. Originally from North Eastern North Carolina, Craig graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Construction Management. Currently residing in Wilmington, NC with his wife Tammy and two children, he enjoys spending time with family, fishing, and coaching youth sports.

Courtney Baker is the Regional Management Coordinator, Active Adult for Liberty Senior Living. Courtney started her career with Liberty Senior Living as the Assistant Community Manager of Inspire Coastal Grand, where she began in October 2020. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2015 with a degree in Biological Sciences. After college, Courtney spent two years at the Walt Disney Company as a Guest Relations hostess before moving to the Myrtle Beach area in 2017. She has been actively involved in her community, participating in organizations such as the Grand Strand ChangeMakers with Multiplying Good, Surfside Beach Rotary Club, Junior League of the Grand Strand, and Grand Strand Young Professionals. Courtney was also a part of Leadership Grand Strand Class XL, where she led and contributed to community outreach projects benefiting Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas.
